About The Well Counseling & Consultation
Where Healing Meets Grit
Mission Statement
At The Well Counseling & Consultation, my mission is to help individuals and families find healing, renewal, and strength through compassionate, evidence-based, and faith-integrated counseling. My goal is to empower clients to overcome trauma, addiction, anxiety, and the invisible weight that often comes from a life spent serving others. Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, courage, and learning to draw strength from the struggle.
My Story
I’m Jason Williamson, the founder of The Well Counseling & Consultation. Before becoming a therapist, I served as a United States Marine, a Texas police officer, and a paramedic. Those years shaped me—showing me both the resilience and the pain that come from serving on the front lines. I’ve witnessed how easily trauma, burnout, and addiction can take root when you’re constantly taking care of everyone else.
My own journey through recovery and personal healing is what inspired me to create The Well. I wanted to build a space where veterans, first responders, medical professionals, teachers, and their families could be understood without judgment—where therapy feels like a partnership, not a performance.
At The Well, we embrace the idea that real growth begins when you stop running from the hard stuff and face it head-on. I integrate evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, and the Tri-Phasic Model of trauma recovery, with faith-based and holistic practices that nurture body, mind, and spirit.
The Meaning Behind “The Well”
Throughout history, a well has been a place of gathering, renewal, and life—a symbol of restoration for the weary. That image captures what this practice stands for. Whether you’re struggling with trauma, rebuilding your identity after service, or trying to reconnect with your faith, this is your place to refill and rebuild.
A Practice Built on Experience, Integrity, and Hope
The Well Counseling & Consultation was founded on a simple truth: you can’t pour from an empty cup. My mission is to help you refill yours—through grounded, trauma-informed care that meets you where you are and helps you move toward the life you were meant to live.
This is a space for honesty, grace, and grit.
Come as you are. Leave stronger.

About Me My name is Jason Williamson, MS, LPC-Associate, LCDC-I, and I’m honored you’ve found your way here. I am a Marine Corps veteran, former Texas police officer, and paramedic, and I know firsthand the toll that trauma, loss, and service can take. My own healing journey through PTSD and addiction has shaped not only my calling as a counselor but also my deep compassion for those walking a similar path.
I specialize in trauma, addiction, and anxiety disorders, with a focus on serving veterans, active-duty service members, law enforcement officers, first responders, nurses, teachers, and their families—the helpers and heroes who often carry unseen burdens. My approach integrates Brainspotting, Sand Tray Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and family-systems-based counseling to promote holistic recovery and resilience.
The name “The Well” comes from the biblical symbol of renewal and life—a place where people come to be restored. In that same spirit, my practice is a refuge for those seeking healing, balance, and purpose. I also offer faith-integrated Christian counseling for clients who wish to bring their spirituality into the process.
Whether through virtual sessions or limited in-person meetings, I provide individual therapy, family counseling, addiction recovery groups, and skills-based workshops. As an LPC-Associate under supervision and a licensed chemical dependency counselor, I’m committed to walking beside you with authenticity, respect, and hope.
You don’t have to carry it alone. Let’s take the next step toward healing and renewal—together.
